Having used many platforms over the past two decades, Webflow has stood out far more in terms of usability—for both the developer (me) and, more importantly, you, the client. This is in stark contrast to my WordPress days—or ‘WoePress’, as some like to call it. Although still a leading platform, WordPress continues to present reliability issues, requires constant updating to fix plug-ins and bugs, and offers an unintuitive, cumbersome client editor that can be arduous to use.

You may also be familiar with platforms such as Wix and Squarespace. Both are capable options that have grown in popularity due to their ease of use—and yes, I’ve used them too. However, they are ultimately limited in terms of customisation. You’re confined to predictable, template-driven layouts, and your site’s scalability becomes restricted should you wish to introduce more advanced functionality later on—which, I assure you, you will, even if it’s not immediately apparent.
